NOT REALIZING....

hello...
and we just started chatting
Very soon, she would say
this library is crowded
lets go somewhere and talk
she asked if I might join her for a drink..
I agreed...
excitedly
I followed her to a restaurant
right in the middle of town
we got a table
away from the crowd
we ordered
and we talked
and talked
we looked up to see
almost no one in the place
Not realizing
we had laughed and talked
for hours
about nothing
and yet everything...
in one night
I learned so much
about her
likes.. 
dislikes..
her past..
her present,
and what she wants
for her future..
and I realized
I was looking at my future
I could see myself..
in her
same interests,
goals
I couldn't stop smiling
We got up
to pay the check
and headed towards the door...
I could feel her hand
on my back
as she walked out the door
behind me
When we got to the car,
we stopped. 
a moment of silence
and somewhere in those moments
some serious body language
was going on
because I could feel her
talking to me
asking me
if she could kiss me
And my lips
were yelling,YES!
and..
IT HAPPENED
that very first kiss
the feelings
never spoken
it was never so thrilling.....
It was now
technically morning.
Raindrops
could be heard outside..
but it was a beautiful inside
for we had discovered
something rare
and neither of us
wanted to move
so we didn't
In the sweet silence
I wanted that beautiful moment
to last forever....
