SUNDAYS WITH JOYCE

HEALING

2 Chronicles 7:14 ) "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

(Psalms 6:2 ) Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.

(Psalms 107:20) He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions

.

(Psalms 147:3 ) He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

(James 5:14-16) Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. {15} And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. {16} Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

(Revelation 22:2 ) In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

(Luke 8:48 ) And He said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace."

(Acts 3:12) So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

(Matthew 8:13 ) Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour

.(Matthew 12:22 ) Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

(Matthew 10:1 ) And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

GIFT OF LOVE

O our Mother the Earth, O our Father the Sky,

Your children are we, and with tired backs

We bring you the gifts of love.

Then weave for us a garment of brightness;

May the warp be the bright light of morning,

May the weft be the red light of evening,

May the fringes be the falling rain,

May the border be the standing rainbow.

Thus weave for us a garment of brightness,

That we may walk fittingly where birds sing,

That we may walk fittingly where grass is green,

O our Mother the Earth, O our Father the sky.

  1. This is beautiful, Joyce! The first thing I thought of when I started reading this was my dad and how very ill he is and there is no cure for him. I pray to God every day---sometimes more than once a day--to keep him strong and also to give my mom strength as well as she's his caregiver and has been since he was diagonosed. My dad will never be truly healed until he walks through the Gates with Jesus but I can pray to give him strength til that day comes.

Thanks for such a beautiful Sunday with Joyce. I'll have to come back and watch the videos later.

  3. Well, I wish prayer could heal him but there is no chance of that. It's just a day to day thing now. There are times I pray that our Lord would just come and take him home peacefully in his sleep because he's suffered for so long with his disease. I know that may sound a bit cold hearted (and I've had people tell me that) but like I said, he's suffered with his disease for many years now. I want him to be at peace. I just pray my mom has the strength to continue to care for him as she has all these years.

  7. Thank you Velle. There have been times in my life when I felt like I needed a part of my life healed, even when I didn't know what was wrong. Through searching for answers, prayer, and just listening as my own spirit encourages itself...I know that healing is possible. it doesn't have to be physical all the time, either

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. They made me reflect lol
