They're always gonna tell me
what I can
and cannot do
How I don't fit in
and that I'm the wrong one
for you
Attempting to take
my freedom to be
Always gonna be a reason
to be feeling blue, you see
The skin that I'm in
isn't that thin
It's not what's on the outside
But, what you possess within
Greater love
hath no man than this
that he would give it all up
for his friends
I will always talk about love
until my day is done
thanking Him
for all my battles won
With my back against the wall
I can not see their displeasure
But it does give me
the chance to say

none of them can fully measure

Even though you make me frown
and provoke the confusion

you will never get to see me
staying in that sad,
and lonely place
thinking my worth
is dependant
upon your approval
when I know it really isn't true
I guess I have to turn around
to make you see
what I already know..
