If I had my druthers we'd be right here
preaching to the choir
reminiscing in echoes of endemic laughter
undressing the past supposed to be spent
peacefully strolling past log cabins,
talking over picked fences
strolling over billowy greenish orange knolls
re-connecting defected, votary souls
recalling the first time love knocked on our heart's door

Awww! This is nostalgic, somehow! Very nice, Joyce!
ReplyDeletelovely ..soft reminiscent
ReplyDeletethanks Kae..it is, for me, anyway :)
ReplyDeleteyes, Caroline...and thanks for feeling it...
ReplyDeleteI have no clue as to what fiaf is Joyce but what I do know
ReplyDeleteis these are words which are kindled within a manner of which
is soothing within the read.
FIAF is fiction in a flash, which is a writing challenge from one of my friends where you write a fictional caption to weekly selected pictures. The flash part is that it is limited to a certain number [55] words.....tis kinda fun and you don't really have a membership criteria....just a desire to participate....
ReplyDeletethanks for checking this out.....and maybe sometimes you might want to try one....
Beautiful Joyce. :)

I read this over a couple of times. I really like it, but it seems vaguely sad, somehow...regretful. It makes me wonder what happened. Very descriptive and well done!
ReplyDeleteGod bless...

Thanks Kate....I think I been to your page, but let me make sure...on the way
ReplyDeleteShadow...how perceptive is your intuition, for this was written off the winds of a fictional moment that I know will never happen...and the scene just brought it out....so I thank you for the read..and your interpretive abilities...:)
