Happy Sunday....
I woke up this morning, happy, like I mostly do, and couldn't resist the urge to come to Multiply and see what's going on with my friends. I am sitting in my corner chair, and I watch the sun come up from the left side of me...only it's not sunny today. But each day, I rise, I remember to thank God for waking me, and starting my life..again. I listen to music, sometimes I cook, or drink a few cups of coffee lol
What kind of things do you like to do on Sundays? Whether it be the morning, afternoons, evenings, or Sunday nights...I would be very honored if you shared with me what you usually do on this day. Perhaps it is a favorite memory, or going to church, or resting. Maybe you watch sports, relax, wash clothes, or the vehicle. Maybe you do other things, and you only do them when you have time.
Even....if you wanted to...you can share a video and upon posting it, tell us what you like about it. Do the words move you to tears, or laughter, or poignancy..and you want to write how you are feeling, or something you want to talk about..... or...maybe one of these pictures I shared, or one you find.... might muse you to write about it.
Let's do something different, relaxing.....and fun. That's what you will always find over here. Good fun, good memories, and good friends...
Happy Sunday to ((((you))))!!!

Morning Joyce. I usually wake up and get the kids ready for church and go to church with them. Then I come home, take a nap, and do homework.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lyssa. I used to love going to church on Sundays, but after joined a church that worships on Saturdays, I lost the interest in my usual Sundays With Joyce posts. I still go to church on Sundays, but it is a church one of my friends turned me on to that is more like Bible study, because it is a mission, moreso. it still feels like Sunday, though....lol What else I do on Sundays, I will sahre throughout the day....lol
ReplyDeleteHope you have a very good day...thanks for sharing....:)
Good morning to you. My Sunday has been and its late. No set routine on this day, thats what I like the most about it. :) I love the second to last pic...makes me feel like i'm outside in the shade just lovin on the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Frances....you sharing always calms me, because you are so far away, and yet our thoughts are so alike...lol Pictures usually make me take trips who knows where..and don't talk about music. lol Anyway, I sure would love to see through your eyes what that picture says to you....(yes it is my Sunday task to you..if you will :) )
ReplyDelete*Carissa..when you rip yourself out of bed...my task for you...is to interpret the picture of the lady bending over in the water....make that you, and share with us what you're feeling..and thinking...and anything you want to say
ReplyDeletethanks in advance...:)
Morning Joyce. My Sundays start of with a bit of extra time in bed. Then l get up and get caught up with things to do around the house. In the afternoon l go and visit Jack ( u have read about him ).
ReplyDeleteThen home again and make dinner. Sometimes l have friends round. Sunday evening is my relaxing time. Feet up infront of the fire and watching something good on tv.

My Sundays are usually quiet relaxing days. I go to church on some Sundays, other Sundays I quietly worship at home. I love to cook a big breakfast or a big dinner. Today I BBQ-ed leg quarters, baked a cake, and cooked some string beans and potatoes. There are the occasional Sundays where Rufus and I go to one of our Mother's homes for Sunday dinner and family time. I tried to post pic of cake I baked today but had trouble doing so. I'm posting it on FB.
ReplyDeletehello Deb...I saw your comment but I was on the way out the door, going to church. I had a good day because my son went with me to church..and the sermon was done in a way to bring the Bible into 2011 sayings and the way young people think. I think it really touched him in away that made him glad he went...
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember Jack. I'm glad you can have time to do what pleases you the most. SOunds like Sundays that make one very happy, and relaxing....
Thanks for sharing./...
I guess it's a good day to do cool things, and things that relax us.
ReplyDeleteVinnie...now you talking!!!!!!! AT LAST...is my favorite from her...I say it's my wedding song, but looks like time is running out ....lol
ReplyDeletegood evening sister-friend ...:)
ReplyDeleteCarissa...I think you have not a clue how blessed you are. I sure would love to trade your life with you for one day...one Sunday. lol the chance to go where I wanted to...and do what I want to. shoot lol But the things you're doing have become your routine, and they got to be done..so its' alll good
ReplyDeletethanks..ms lady for waking up early to listen to me this am lol Tell Guido HI...lol
I can get with these words too...Sundays give me all kinds of feelings lately....some I share, and some I just wish I could share with someone special...but oh well....

ReplyDeletetell Rufus I said hello..and thanks for sharing what you do on days like today.....
Today, this song explains my mood. It was a song I never heard..but as the words come forth...they seem to be releasing something so vulnerable in me...
ReplyDelete..I wake up Monday mornin to find..I have homework@! Lol..sure..that pic will prolly write itself :)
ReplyDeleteCool...And you can choose one for me to write to..if you like
ReplyDeleteOn Sundays I like getting up very early....to see the Sunrise with a cup of hazelnut coffee......relax awhile....then get in the shower... then get dressed for Church.....
ReplyDeletethen spend some time visiting with family...my Mother usually cooks a big dinner after church services for the entire family..... me, my 2 older brothers and their families etc...and we all just hang out over there for a few hours...my Parents love that!!! And My Father cooks also!:) So its that Southern family kind of get together..you know like...SOULFOOD! LOL But with a Creole twist! hehe...
Then once home I slip into a satin or silk ...hehe...robe and just relax for the remaining of the evening. Sometimes I read...or write....or watch movies....or .....well.....you know! lol
But ''Stormy Sunday'' mornings are my favorite....when I get to just do NOTHING but stay in bed!!~wink~
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds divine...that you get to spend your Sundays just like you want to. I loved the Big Mama's scenes too...so I know yall had a ball
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to write about Sunday nights..in a bit. I got different things I do for different times of the day....
Tell me..when you relax, what kind of music do you like....
details...lol neva heard of that...
ReplyDeleteOf course, I'm late on the draw...
ReplyDeleteThis Sunday wasn't my typical run through the house trying to get the kids together for church then come home and relax....then get kids ready for school the next day type of day. This past Sunday morning, I woke and the sun was trying to shine...I knew it was gonna be just fine. Before my feet hit the floor I gave thanks for waking me (groggily). Then I ran through what I needed to do for the day. The first thing on the list was to pay rent for this month, had the landlord scheduled to come by and pick up his $$, then left to go get the $$ from the bank. This is the only thing that had me on edge bc I had procrastinated with it. Given the issues I've had with my previous employer, I had to decide if I really wanted to go to church. I had the Lord in my ear all morning, so of course, I gave in and went. When I arrived so many people were happy to see me, I felt so loved. I was glad I made the decision to go to church. The service was awesome, got to take communion, have a wanna be choir rehearsal, got chicken and came home. The kids were very low key on sunday afternoon, and we were invited to my niece and nephew's 16th bday party that consisted of the Wii...and various competitions with the kids. It was so fun to just watch. What made this last Sunday extraordinary is it's my daughters last Sunday as a 'kid'. Her birthday is officially today. Being there in the room with the children she grew up with as family (some actually family, others friends) put some things into perspective for me...gave me some validation that I had done a good job as a parent. I am not a perfect parent, but this sunday was given to me to let me see that with this one kid, I had done alright.
So my daughter decided she wanted to have a Wii party next saturday for HER birthday (which is today). So for the first time in my life, we sat down and talked about her seriously and then planned a party we're both kinda excited about. Who knew gaming, chicken wings, cake n ice cream would turn out to be a perfect sunday?
btw...Sundays for me have always been kinda drab and boring. When I had a mate, we used to fix each other breakfast in bed, do very adult, very nasty things to one another...then either read the sunday paper together or watch movies....with the kids or without em. Sunday was always a day in which I hated...it was always just dull, dull, dull. As I get older my perception changes a little bit, from dull to a day of preparation for the upcoming business week. Having the children makes Sundays a family day...we either play games, do computer stuff, watch movies or something where we're all on top of each other in the same room.
ReplyDeleteI suppose my view of Sundays will change yet again when he children are gone. But for now, Saturday is the rest day. Sunday is a pre-business work day. Its the non traditional work day.
Now I like that you remember what you did in details...I cant even remember what I did...lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, even if it's not Sunday...all days are good to share...
my weekends have changed drastically in the last 2-3 yrs. I used to go to church on Sundays, and now I go on Saturdays primarily, and with a friend on Sundays...so my whole weekend is busy...but I love it.
ReplyDeleteYour routines will surely change when you find you doing what Adrienne wants and not what the kids want...
Sorry my homework is late maam... :)
ReplyDeleteFor the flower pic:
Be the earth beneath me and together then we lie
Face to the infinite.
Behind the solid oak the bracken is untamed.
In the grassy shadows is place for quiet letting the grass
Tickle backs while skies meander by nonchalant.
Sun patterned your smile seems a puzzle
And mine a silhouette.
Uncomplicated as the surrounding green,
Ah don’t things seem so here.
In the arms of the garden, who will question falling petals dear.
" Sun patterned your smile seems a puzzle
ReplyDeleteAnd mine a silhouette"
...Love that part, and can feel that part....nicely. Yes, you put words to a beautiful picture that wakes it up. I thank you...:)
