DAILY OM....THE MOST FULFILLING ROAD

Finding Your Next Step in Life

Our lives are made up of a complex network of pathways that we can use to move from one phase of life to the next. For some of us, our paths are wide, smooth, and clearly marked. Many people, however, find that they have a difficult time figuring out where they need to go next.

Determining which “next step” will land you on the most direct route to fulfillment and the realization of your life purpose may not seem easy.

There are many ways to discover what the next step on your life path should be. If you are someone who seeks to satisfy your soul, it is vital that you make this inquiry. Often, your inner voice will counsel you that it’s time for a change, and it is very important to trust yourself because only you know what is best for you.

Personal growth always results when you let yourself expand beyond the farthest borders of what your life has been so far. When figuring out what your next step will be, you may want to review your life experiences.

The choices you’ve made and the dreams you’ve held onto can give you an idea of what you don’t want to do anymore and what you might like to do next. It is also a good idea to think about creative ways you can use your skills and satisfy your passions. Visualizing your perfect future and making a list of ways to manifest that future can help you choose a logical next step that’s in harmony with your desires.

Meditation, journal writing, ta! king a class, and other creative activities may inspire you and provide insight regarding the next step in life that will bring you the most satisfaction.

It is when you are willing to listen to yourself and be fearless that figuring out your next step becomes easy. Beneath the fear and hesitation and uncertainty lies your inner knowing that always knows which step you need to take next.

If you can allow the taking of your next step to be as easy as putting one foot in front of the next, you’ll notice that your next step is always the one that is right in front of you. All you have to do is put one foot forward and on the ground.

What do you think?

  2. Seems I have a problem with taking the wrong path EVEN though I KNOW it's the wrong path. I am one of those that thinks that she can always fix the broken.....It has lead me down some hard roads in my life! But in 2009, I am making it a point to take the best road..the one that doesn't need as much fixing!
    Gr8 post! :)

  3. Mandee...How can you be sure that the wrong roads aren't the right roads...? Even though bad things happen, it might be to increase your wisdom, knowledge, or faith in yourself, that when the right thing comes along...you will know it.

A song comes to mind, with a verse that says.."thank you, for my storm, and thank you for my rain..." The pain helps us moreso than just having everything we want right away.

I claim for you positivity, prosperity, peace, and Joy for this year...even if you have to go down a few wrong paths before finding it....

    Thanks for stopping by!

  5. When I was growing up, we didn't have this kind of motivation. You just go to school, do your chores, go to church and respect your elders. We didn't have a softer, gentler side that encourage you into a stronger maturity. We hid what we felt "emotionally" as children, thus today I still hold back alot of what I feel and want to do. Knowing that soulsistahs exists is a part of a long overdue "release". I really like this post and will often come back as a reference. My next step is to transform my personal thoughts and experiences into wonderful paragraphs:)

  6. You know, Anne, that is part of my motivation. I often say that when I was growing up, I had more questions than answers, and I am one who 'listens' very well for insight, and answers to my queries. I said when I got grown, I wanted to give ...what I was never given.

My mother worked all the time, and my brothers took care of us, and on Sundays we were sent to church. There were no answers to the personal delimnas I faced. I found my own answers. I can safely say, that is where my compassion, and love for writing started...in my searching...

Thank you for your inspiring words, cuz I been there too! I will be listening for your words, troo
