SUNDAYS WITH JOYCE

WORD FOR TODAY

~Predestination~

1. Father draws people John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: And I will raise him up at the last day.
2. God has a pre-arranged plan Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
3. God set Jeremiah apart from birth Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
4. Many are called, few are chosen Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
5. Planned long before the world began 2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
6. Only God knows future Isaiah 46:9,10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Delaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the htings that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
7. Who can stop God? Job 9:12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? Who will say unto him, what doest thou?

You know that important moment
When either everything seems to make sense, or
nothing makes sense at all
Or when you know a beginning is happening
Or an end, or the one moment that seems to be significant
A poignant moment in your life
And nothing will be the same
But then nothing happens
And you wonder why nothings' changed
It's because there’s another sunrise
Another sunset
And many more in between
I’m sure it’s happened all
Over the place in everybody’s life
‘Big’ things happen
Small things don't happen
But, that don’t change anything one iota
In the long run

But that’s a ridiculous concept, isn’t it? Not really. Even before we were thought of, in our parents minds, God was making a place for us. He knew where we would all be today. Each one of us. We all have a purpose in this life. We are ambassadors of Christ. We have something to tell this world.

Let us all take a moment to be aware of our place in life. In each others lives. We should be doing things to uplift God, our father, who made us. Doing things which will leave a mark on your circle of friends. God knows your heart, anyway. He still loves you sooo much, that it makes one humble to know that, as we make mistakes, He already knows it, and He is ready, and waiting to forgive, and restore us.

When we meet circumstances, he already knew it. Whether it's a career, a life experience, or whatever........God already knows about it.

  2. ISP....Laughing. A what? Don't be calling me names on Sunday morning; that's not nice...lol

No...It's just my experience, and I happen to believe that life is on a course that is already pre-set. Thanks for sharing my Sundays. It's like they're coming around faster now...

  4. I believe in the concept of those things that are pre-ordained/pre-destined as well. The concept used to be disturbing to me, figuring that a course has already been preset. For me, it flew in the face of the "free will" idea.
Now, I simply accept that there is truly much I do not fully understand, and probably will not fully understand..until, God Will for my understanding of them..if indeed it is God's Will, for me to do so.

    Good day to you Joyce!

    ...blessings!

  5. Naturali.....I agree. I, too, have so much to learn. But I will never learn any of it, unless I concede my will to things about life that I don't know,or haven't learned already. I am so open to wisdom, knowledge, and the truth that is indisputable. I like it because I am on a path, and I can now look around me, and see so many others joining me....

When I'm aligning my will to my true destiny, I feel like I'm really living...

    Thanks for your thought-provoking words!

  6. I was thought to believe that God has a plan for all of us though i must admit I dont always see my purpose because things dont go as i see them for myself. I too am lerning patience and trust on this journey of life hoping that i do see what is in my destiny

  7. Predestination was a word that I once loosely used until I started to experience to its bursting effect… meaning circumstances that I knew had to be heavenly sent that proceeded to direct me on a path to so many fortunate circumstances. We often go through lift just living day by day without knowing if we are indeed on the correct path. I do not believe in coincidences per say but predestination and fate are things that I stand firm on. I think when we all come into the realization that no matter how hard we fight it, no matter how painstaking the journey is eventually we will fall inline with what God has planned for us.
As mere humans we expect our lives to be as we wish, as society depicts and our peers… we have so many outside influences that we become engulfed by that and not what God has planned… when maybe in all actuality we are believing beneath what God wants for us. I am not here to preach but to appreciate the insight that Joyce has shared with us today. Once again you have sent my mind on a wondrous journey and I thank you for taking the time out to share this. God bless… God gives Grace to the humble <--- I mean that in every sense of the word.

  12. Joyce, God does know. He knows all things. He placed all things. Before you were formed in the womb, God knew you. I love to think about that. He also knows what happens and what will happen, and all the outcomes of our decisions. So if we travel down a road, and come to a fork, He knows the outcome of each path. Yes we have free will, and we have many calculations, and those many calculations, He knows. It's astounding to think about. God bless you every day and in every way.
