Did you even think about what you're saying???

God Guide My Pen

I ask of You my dear Father,
that You will guide my pen
So the words provided me through You,
will help another friend

I am so uncertain,
of what my pen will write
My prayer, my God so faithful,
is that You will lend me sight

The clear and unquestionable vision,
to give me guidance when
I begin to write the things You want,
as I start to use my pen

I ask that Your words work through me,
a co-author I merely am
As You merit ALL the good I share,
through prose I write and send

For what is mine is Yours I know,
all gifts You've given me
Let me share not mine but Yours,
and do so with humility

My petition I earnestly bring to You,
all words I'll write this day
May they come from You who gave me life,
please guide my pen I pray

More and more, I realize that your words are very important.
Once
written they produce your footprints in the sands of time. When you
speak, and write, you build your own character. People use what they
get to form your personality, in their eyes.

Be careful of the words you release into the universe.
They can heal, or they can kill.

Do you think it is important to give people the truth, or what you want them to know?

  1. i think it's important think before you give people anything.

sometimes the truth doesn't make a difference in the way of things and can only result in pain. Don't give the truth to be self righteous.....that is selfish.

Think ....think........ what u would like to be given.....

    Amen....

  2. Raven...I like that( think about what you would like to be given). Whether it be a tale, a fantasy, or even a thought..it should be something you would want to get back from someone else, in the same spirit.

I have seen some vicious words printed, that I know I wouldn't give out, simply because I wouldn't give them out. Words make impressions on people. These blogs, to some, are the only reality we will know of some people.

Thanks for commenting. And hoping you have a good day. Pace yourself...lol

  3. we are the vessel that God uses
whether we speak or think about it
He uses us as he has always chosen

    even though as you said
reach out and seek the best guidance
to speak what needs to be said to others

I am glad that I have gotten out of His way
only thing is can the people that we can help
get out of their own way

  4. its like u were reading my mind yo! that is 1 of the reasons why i write the way i do, because i feel positivity can be manifested, depending on how strong ya belief is! this was quantum yo! uno (loonar)

  5. Words are powerful, they have energy which can be positive or negative. I think you have to pause because, even though what you may speak/write is "the truth", it may not be the other person's truth. Again, we all color things based on our individual experiences and perspectives. I think we also have to judge the situation to determine how much truth someone else is ready to hear at the given moment. I try to use my words in ways that will build people up, make them think and even I'm writing something that's "negative", there is always a positive lesson to be taken from it. Thanks for sharing this!

  6. That was deep Joyce, but of course...it's coming from you....

I agree, let God be your Navigator....um, I better go check myself...
I'm not the one to hurt feelings, so often; I never express myself because I don't know how someone may take it.

I do over-think and if I get out of hand...I'm blaming it on the Devil...he made me do it...(smirk)

  7. HI AND GOOD DAY TO YOU,,,SPECIAL FRIEND OF THE MULTIPLEE FAMILEE:

YOUR PEN HAS A SPECIAL UNIQUE GIFTEDNESS THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS. YOU HAVE YOUR OWN ART FORM, TECHNIQUE AND EYE NOT ONLY FOR THE BEAUTIFUL ART YOU LOVE, ALSO FOR THE WRITTEN EXPRESSIONS THAT YOU PEN SO WELL. YOUR IMAGINATION AND BEAUTY IS A MARVELOUS GIFT, ONLY GRANTED TO YOUR PRECIOUS SPIRIT AND NO ONE CAN CAPTURE IT OR DARE COME NEAR IT. YOUR SITE HERE OFFERS NOTHING BUT PEACE, AS A MATTER OF FACT, YOUR OWN SPIRIT AND DIVINE BEING IS NOTHING SHORT OF EXQUISITE VALUE IN THE EYES OF YOUR GRAND CREATOR.

I NOT ONLY GIVE PEOPLE THE TRUTH OF MATTERS, I GIVE THEM WHAT I WANT THEM TO KNOW AND I TRY VERY HARD NOT TO LET MY WORDS HURT. IF THEY DO, IT DOES NOT REFLECT THE "REAL" ME BUT THEY COME FROM THE PAIN THAT CAME UPON MY SOUL AS A RESULT OF UNWARRANTED FEAR, LIKE THE YOUNG MAN THAT CAME IN TO MULTIPLY ON THURSDAY NIGHT AND PROPOSITIONED ME AND CALLING ME ALL KINDS OF SWEET PASSIONATE NAMES AND IT WAS LIKE HE WAS ANSWERING A PERSONAL WANT AD FROM ME. I SLEPT FOR 10 HRS, HAD CHEST PAIN AFTER THAT AND I HAD TO WRITE ABOUT IT BECAUSE HE DID NOT KNOW ME LIKE THAT AND IT KIND OF MADE ME FEEL UNSAFE HERE AN THAT DID NOT SET WELL WITH ME. I DID NOT ASK FOR HIS HEIGHT, WEIGHT, RACE, PHONE NUMBER, INTERESTS, PERSONAL EMAIL AND ETC..TOWN HE LIVES IN..AND NOW AFTER I DID SOME THINKING, MY WORDS TO HIM WERE AS A RESULT OF FEAR AND PAIN, NOT HATE. IHAD TOASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS AND IF I SEE THE YOUNG MAN'S NAME AROUND, I WILL ASK FOR FORGIVENESS FOR MAYBE HIS INTENTIONS WERE NOT MEANING HARM...I COULD HAVE BEEN A MARRIED WOMAN FOR ALL HE KNOWS. IF HE WOULD HAVE READ MY PROFILE AND NOT JUST LOOKING AT MY PHOTO AND CALLING ME: MY SWEET PRECIOUS DIAMOND, DIVA...THEN HE WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED OR LOOKING FOR A MAN..

  9. Zeus.....God uses us when a message is needed to be delivered. It's so unique in that we never know what we say can help someone. And not all answers are spiritual. Some are for comfort, cheer, understanding, enlightenment, and information.

You're certainly doing your part to inspire us.....

    Thanks for your words...

  10. Dreamyall...Me, too. I always want to show the most human side of me. It may not seem positive all the time, but I never speak negatively to a person, unless directly confronted, and then I try to find something positive from the interaction...

    Thanks for stopping by

  13. Nenah...Hi! Never second guess your feelings, expecially when you believe in what you're saying. Although there is a median between what is negative, and what's positive. Something you hold back may be the answer someone needs to hear...

    Nice seeing you again....

  18. Dark....I really have to agree with that you said. It depends on how you perceive what I say. Some people can have the best or worst of intentions, and it still come off all wrong, depending on how you look at the truth. Good point!

    Thanks for your wisdom!

  19. Blessings.

First, I loved the poem by B.G. Jett. Short, but speaks volumes. I dug it. Now, I believe in truth. I don't need what I "want" to hear. I need truth. I also give it. That's my creed that I live by. Yes, I've lied before, as I'm sure most have, so I'm no better than anyone else. But, in order to find peace within self, I choose to tell the truth. I'm sure it will hurt (as I'm sure hearing the truth for me will hurt), but it's better to kno than not.

Peace within and God bless you, love.

  20. PoeBear...I feel you. We all can discern from truth, and lies. I think deliberately attempting to slay a character, manipulate thoughts, and some of the mean things we do..are just not necessary.

We sometimes mislead people "intentionally". I'm sure you don't.

    Thanks for your truth...lol Hugs

Mislead people intentionally? Who? Me? NEVER! **cue evil laughter reel** Oh wait! You weren't supposed to see that! **shieldin' Joycie-pooh's eyes** No, seriously, all jokes aside, I don't no that many people that intentionally lie... or tell half truths. I like to think the world is made up of people who actually care about others, regardless of the many knuckleheads we see on the news. Is it a flawed perspective that which I own? Of course it is. But I like it. It helps me to give everyone the benefit of the doubt rather than just being a cold-hearted snake (look into his eyes, uh-oh! - sorri, I had a moment *lol*). I mean, yeah, everyone has or will have lied. Who doesn't? But, I think what makes a person's character/personality that much more beautiful than another's is that he or she is striving to do better... even if that means hurting someone else or being hurt in return. 'Sides, enough people lie already. Why not be the difference? *lol*

Peace within and God bless you, love.

  22. You're right. I was talking about the poem's message. The poem is about choosing words that reflect the good in us...

Thanks for your comment.... You are so cool with me.

  23. powerful post - simply speak the truth its power is that it has the strength to stand on its own with no further explanation or justification - in fact silence will give it more power - thank for sharing this

  25. Whoa this really made me think… my mind just double checked over some things that I have released into the wind without consideration of my viewers or listeners...or the laws of karma and reciprocity.

Words Are The Most Powerful Things in the Universe! The words we speak will either put us over in life or hold us in bondage. I have always been a great believer that what you voice out will come to pass. I’m not here to preach but to commend you on this post… it shines great light on a bit of a dark subject. Thanks for sharing.

Hold up… now I feel horrible. I’m thinking that I use my gifts and talents for my own glorification and others, and sometime fail to show my generosity to the Most High for blessing me with such talents. Now I have to go pray, I am dead serious.

  26. Blaq...This world is made up of good and bad. The wheat and the tarry is growing together. We are a part of it all. To remove something we think is a gift from each other could be just as bad, as not saying anything at aal. Your craft will define you. The only thing we need to do is be able to classify what is informative, from what is required, to what is flagrant in defling the character. that's just my opinion.

Your work, your words should be to edify, to uplift, and inform...as I think yours does. Only you can judge your words...

Thanks for finding this blog, and reminding meonce again..
