...Do I Think About You

only when I wake up

     and I know you're awoke too;

when you start the day

     do I think about you.

while you're riding in your car

      no matter how far

I ponder the look upon your face

while through morning traffic you race.

when you enter into a room

     do you hold your head up high,

or put your stuff on your desk...and sigh

when you sit down in your chair

     do you stop to stare

into the space in your mind

         (no, it's not the best you can do)

that thought-is it of me?

     that blank expression-

     is it a confession

     that it's me that you see?

does something you  say

     remind you of the day

when with notions

and tempting emotions

were our method of play....

        ( or me, either)

only when I laugh

     do I start to recall

every time

every thing

     about you, no matter how small.

you got me

thinking about you .....
